This page summarizes how the Nomera music competition collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information, and how users may exercise their rights.

The Nomera music competition ("Nomera") collects and uses personal information for the following purposes through its website and apps: signup and login (Kakao or Sign in with Apple in the iOS app), competition applications, competition operations, and online inquiries.

Creating member accounts, authenticating sign-in, and managing accounts
Receiving competition applications and verifying participant identity
Confirming age and division eligibility
Providing competition schedule and result notices
Shipping certificates and trophies to winners
Processing entry fee payments, cancellations, and refunds
Managing judging, award records, and competition operations
Receiving online inquiries, providing replies, and handling complaints
Sending push notifications about applications, payments, competition schedules, judging results, and other operational notices
Diagnosing errors, maintaining security and service reliability, and reviewing SDK usage statistics

A. Signup and login

Kakao login

Kakao user identifier and account information the user consented to share, including name, email, phone number, birthday/birth year, profile information, and shipping address

The account identifier supplied by Apple, email address, and sign-in authentication information. If Hide My Email is selected, Nomera receives an Apple relay email address instead of the actual email address.

Kakao account information is accessed only within the available permissions and the user's consent; information absent from the account may not be provided. Nomera currently does not request a name through Sign in with Apple and does not receive date of birth, phone number, or address from Apple. Users enter additional information needed for applications or confirmations themselves.

B. Competition application

Basic items

Full name, date of birth, email, phone number, address, competition category, instrument, performance piece title, and composer

Additional items

Group participation information, grade, school name, teacher name, profile photo, performance video URL, and other optional information submitted by the user

C. Payment and competition operations

Processed items

Order number, payment amount, payment status, cancellation/refund processing information, application number, performance order, check-in status, judging scores and evaluations, and award results

D. Online inquiry

Required items

Member identifier, name, email, inquiry type, inquiry title, and inquiry content

Optional items

Phone number and attachments

When an inquiry is submitted, the name, email, and phone number are automatically filled from the logged-in account and member profile. Attachments are stored only when the user selects them directly.

E. App notifications and diagnostics

Push notifications

Member identifier, push tokens (FCM registration token and, on iOS, APNs token), app installation identifiers, and device type. Nomera associates the FCM token with the member identifier to deliver operational notifications to the account.

SDK and error diagnostics

Firebase SDK app, operating system, and SDK version information, technical diagnostics such as communication errors, and SDK usage statistics. The Android app also processes crash/error records, installation identifiers, and pseudonymized user identifiers through Firebase Crashlytics. The iOS app does not use Firebase Crashlytics or Firebase Analytics.

Contact details and push notifications are used for application, payment, and competition operations, not recruitment or promotion of new competitions or advertising tracking.

Personal information is processed within the stated purposes and scope. External services and entrusted processing are described in the provision and entrusted processing section below.

Nomera retains personal information only for the period necessary after the purpose of collection is achieved, and destroys it without delay when the retention period expires.

Member profile and Kakao/Apple-linked information: until membership withdrawal or account deletion request
Account-linked push token registrations stored by Nomera: retained as needed for notification delivery and deleted upon membership withdrawal
Application, judging, payment, award, and shipping processing information: retained for one year after the competition ends
Online inquiries and attachments: retained for one year after inquiry processing is completed
Service use and security-related records: retained for the period necessary for stable service operation and dispute response
Where retention is required by applicable laws, retained for the period specified by those laws

These periods apply to information retained by Nomera. Installation identifiers and SDK diagnostics processed by external services such as Firebase are also subject to those services' retention and deletion procedures.

Nomera does not provide users' personal information to third parties beyond the stated purposes. However, some tasks necessary to provide the service may be entrusted to external professional service providers.

Personal information is processed only within the scope necessary to perform entrusted tasks. If the processor or entrusted task changes, Nomera will provide notice through this privacy policy.

Firebase uses Google's global infrastructure, so related information may be processed and stored outside Korea. The following official notice also describes the service's processing, retention, and deletion procedures. Firebase privacy and security notice

C. External sign-in and iOS notification services

Kakao: Kakao sign-in authentication and sharing account information consented to by the user
Apple: Sign in with Apple authentication, account identifier/email sharing, and iOS push delivery through APNs

Information processed by sign-in providers for their own accounts and authentication is governed by their privacy policies. Nomera does not collect or store Kakao or Apple account passwords.

Nomera may automatically process the minimum information necessary to maintain login status, ensure security, respond to errors, and check service usage statistics. This information is not used for advertising tracking.

Users may refuse or delete cookies through browser settings. However, in this case, some features such as maintaining login status may be limited.

Push notifications can be enabled or disabled in the device notification settings. Login and competition applications remain available without notification permission. Notification settings and the processing of technical SDK diagnostics are separate.

Users may exercise the following rights at any time.

Request suspension of personal information processing

Rights may be exercised in writing, by phone, or by email, and Nomera will take action without delay.

For personal information of children under the age of 14, a legal representative may request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing.
